Specification

Part I-GENERAL

1.1 Location: This specification covers the requirements for bullet resistant fiberglass to be located
 as shown on the construction drawings or as noted in the finish trades schedule.

1.2 Shop Drawings: Shop drawings shall be submitted for approval prior to the fabrication or purchase
of material and include plan view elevations, sections and details of the proposed installation including
 attachment methods.

1.3 Certification shall be furnished  indicating that all materials have been tested in accordance with
the appropriate test procedure.

Part II-PRODUCTS

2.1 Manufacturers:

     A. North American Bullet Proof, Inc. San Antonio, TX (v) 888-746-8427 (f) 210-225-0984

2.2 Materials:

     A. Bullet Resistant Fiberglass

         1. Model: _____(Specify BB-A, BB-1, BB-2, BB-3, or BB-4 from ballistic chart)

         2. Performance Level: _____(Match with model Level 1- Level 8)

         3. "SHOTGARD" to be constructed of a multi-ply ballistic fiberglass laminate produced from
ballistic fiberglass and  impregnated with a thermostat polyester resin binder. The multi-ply
configuration is to provide a delamination effect when ballistically

        4. Nominal Thickness: _____(Match with model 5/32" - 1-3/8")

        5. Nominal Weight per sq. ft.: _____(Match with model 1.5 lbs. - 14.0 lbs.)     

        6. Testing by Underwriters Laboratories (listed product with UL 752 Label) or HP White
Laboratories (non listed product).   

Part III-EXECUTION

3.1  A. Prior to commencing installation, examine all areas to receive bullet resistant material.

3.2  Installation 

      A. Install components in accordance with manufacturers instructions and drawings.

3.3 Cleaning

      A. After installation, clean surfaces and touch up any damaged areas
